This Sunday, June 9, the Bishop of the Diocese of México – the Rt. Rev. Carlos Touché Porter will preach and preside at the 10:30 am service! The next Sunday, June 16, we will celebrate the birthday of HM Queen Elizabeth the Second, along with Trinity Sunday. There are rumors of cake!
Palm Sunday Services at Christ Church will be held at the normal hours of 8:30 AM, 10:30AM, and 12:30 AM. 8:30AM will be held in the chapel. 10:30AM service will begin in the parish hall to accommodate the Palm Sunday Procession. 12:30PM service will begin on the back patio (facing Sierra Madre). The Passion Gospel will be read at all 3 services.
The Annual Meeting of Christ Church Parish will take place on Sunday, 11 February. The Meeting will be preceded by ONE COMBINED BI LINGUAL service of Holy Eucharist at 11:00 on that day only. Please note this change.
After the service of Holy Eucharist, there will be a brunch of Pancakes and Sausages — the traditional pre-Lenten celebration before our Lenten fast begins with Ash Wednesday on 14 February.
Annual meeting is our once-a-year gathering for both congregations to consider together the year that has past, and our projects for the current year. We will review the 2018 budget and elect a slate of new vestry members.
All members of Christ Church are invited to join us for this important event.
Come to do your Christmas shopping at Christ Church. Traditional baked goods, homemade jams and jellies, handmade crafts, books, and treasures from “Grandma’s Attic” will all be on sale. Plus you can purchase a delicious lunch at the Full Belly Deli. Live music will be presented by the choir of Christ Church and the Pipes and Drums of St. Patrick’s Battalion.
Due to a number of circumstances, the Sunday morning service of Holy Eucharist normally held at 8:30 on Sunday morning will be suspended during the month of August 2017. 10:30AM services in English and 12:30 services in Spanish will continue as usual. The regular Sunday morning schedule of three services will resume on 3 September 2017. Thank you for understanding.
