Would you like to join a Christ Church (bilingual) women’s Bible study? Contact Caroline Olorede or Marlene Bolanos ASAP to be added to the WhatsApp group and receive updates. Most meetings will be held by Zoom on Tuesday evenings, 8:00-9:30 p.m., with monthly Sunday afternoon in-person meetings.
TODAY, Sunday, October 4th, is the Blessing of the Animals celebration to commemorate the conclusion of the 2026 Season of Creation. Please meet with clergy between services in the outdoor patio area to receive your and your pet’s blessing.
**PLEASE NOTE** ~ The Guild will have a planning meeting for upcoming events at 12:30 p.m. or immediately following the Blessing of the Animals—in the White Room.
Parish fundraisers and opportunities to show love & hospitality to neighbors, friends, and family:
Oct. 16th-17th: The Christ Church Garage Sale, organized and hosted by the Guild, will be open to the public Friday-Saturday, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Dec. 5th: The Christmas Bazaar, also hosted by the Guild, is coming! Some ways that you can help include:
Recruit (and/or financially sponsor their spot in the Bazaar for roughly $2000 mxn) an artisan whose handiwork you respect. All artisans (or their sponsors) should contact Mary Rosa ASAP to reserve a table.
Contribute high-quality items with which the Vestry may prepare 4-5 gift basket raffle prizes. (We’ll start with these themes: “Bath & Body,” “Tea & Coffee,” “Wine & Cheese,” “Fancy hors d’oeuvres,” & “Snack Packs.” Thank you, in advance, for your generosity.)
Invite everyone you know to attend.
Dec. 13th: Festival of Lessons and Carols*
*A note from Maestro Antonio Ortega Rivera: Our much-loved and highly anticipated Festival of Lessons and Carols is approaching. This year, alongside our favorite hymns, we will sing pieces from the international repertoire—featuring the sounds of Latin America, Mexico, and Nigeria—as well as music by renowned classical composers such as David Willcocks and John Rutter. We are delighted to extend the following invitations for this special occasion, all of which require a brief, informal audition with Maestro Antonio:
1. Sing in the choir.
2. Play in the handbell choir.
3. Play another musical instrument with which you are comfortable.
Parishioners who wish to participate must contact Maestro Antonio Rivera by Sunday, October 11.
All participants should bring their musical knowledge, patience, kindness, and commitment to attend the following rehearsals: 8 consecutive Saturdays beginning October 17th, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Christ Church AND a dress rehearsal on Sunday, December 6th, at 5:00 p.m.

**NOTA IMPORTANTE** ~ El Guild tendrá una reunión de planificación para los próximos eventos a las 12:30 p. m., o inmediatamente después de la Bendición de los Animales, en el Salón Blanco (White Room).
Eventos de recaudación de fondos de la parroquia y oportunidades para mostrar amor y hospitalidad a vecinos, amigos y familiares:
• 16 y 17 de octubre: La venta de garaje de Christ Church, organizada por el Gremio, estará abierta al público el viernes y el sábado, de 10 a. m. a 2 p. m.
• 5 de diciembre: ¡Llega el Bazar Navideño, también organizado por el Guild! Algunas formas en las que puede ayudar incluyen:
¬ ayudar (y/o patrocinar económicamente su puesto en el bazar conr aproximadamente $2000 MXN) a un artesano cuyo trabajo usted valore. Todos los artesanos (o sus patrocinadores) deben comunicarse con Mary Rosa lo antes posible para reservar una mesa.
¬ Donar artículos de alta calidad con los que la Junta Parroquial (Vestry) pueda preparar 4 o 5 cestas de regalo para la rifa. (Comenzaremos con estos temas: "Baño y cuerpo", "Té y café", "Vino y queso", "Aperitivos selectos" y "Paquetes de bocadillos". Gracias de antemano por su generosidad).
¬ Invitar a todos sus conocidos a asistir.
• 13 de diciembre: Festival de “Lecturas y Villancicos*
Un mensaje del maestro Antonio Ortega Rivera: Se acerca nuestro muy querido y esperado Festival de Lecturas y Villancicos. Este año, además de nuestros himnos favoritos, interpretaremos obras del repertorio internacional —que incluyen sonoridades de América Latina, México y Nigeria— así como música de reconocidos compositores clásicos como David Willcocks y John Rutter. Nos complace extender las siguientes invitaciones para esta ocasión especial; todas ellas requieren una breve audición informal con el maestro Antonio:

2. Tocar en el coro de campanas de mano.
3. Tocar otro instrumento musical con el que se sienta cómodo.
Los feligreses que deseen participar deben comunicarse con el maestro Antonio Rivera a más tardar el domingo 11 de octubre.
Se espera que todos los participantes aporten sus conocimientos musicales, paciencia, amabilidad y compromiso para asistir a los siguientes ensayos:
