Many thanks to Miguel Suarez and other Vestry members who helped organize last week’s animal adoption event. All animals returned to the shelter but with love and gifts from Christ Church.
September Calendar of Events
It’s time to collect our final 2024 items to support the Casa Hogar La Divina Providencia, a residential home for people with cognitive and physical disabilities. You have two options for traveling by bus to visit Casa Hogar La Divina Providencia: Saturday, November 16th (joining our visit with a visit of local Girl Scouts) and/or Saturday, November 30th, potentially with the Pireri choir. To reserve a seat on the bus, please sign up at the table outside of the Parish Hall, and pay $100 mx/person no later than Sunday, November 10th. Stay tuned for more information if you would like to come along. Here is the list of needed items:

All Saints Day is November 1st, but we will observe this feast on Sunday, November 3rd. If you or someone you love would like to be baptized on this date, please notify Rev. Elisabeth ASAP.
If you are homebound due to illness or disability, and you would like to receive regular home visits and Holy Eucharist from a trained Eucharistic ministry lay member of Christ Church, please contact Alix Elverson. There is no cost. (alixelverson@aol.com).
Do you wish to receive the Community Weekly news bulletin from Christ Church and/or be added to the church’s WhatsApp group? Would you like a pastoral meeting with one of the clergy? Please fill out a contact information card from the Ushers’ table near the sanctuary doors to indicate your need.

Si está confinado en su hogar debido a una enfermedad o discapacidad y le gustaría recibir visitas domiciliarias periódicas y la Sagrada Eucaristía de un miembro laico capacitado en el ministerio Eucarístico de Christ Church, comuníquese con Alix Elverson. Christ Church Guild
On December 7, 2024, we will hold our annual Christmas Bazaar, please mark your calendars. We are already beginning to offer stalls to those wishing to take part this year, including outside vendors interested in selling their products, from 9:00 to 5:00. If you, or somebody you know, would like to take part, please contact Mary Rosa at the office.
If you would like to help by donating in the following ways to Christ Church’s biggest fundraising event of the year, the following booths need additional items:
Tómbola: gifts, including new, small toys (about $100- each); Baked goods: homemade brownies, cookies, cakes, banana bread, coffee cake, cupcakes, etc.; Bottles of wine: red or white, and bottles of any kind; Raffle prizes: kitchen items, home appliances, tech gadgets, etc.
We will also need volunteers on the day, so if you would like to participate for a few hours or all day, please let Linda Saucedo or Alix Elverson know.
