Community Update

(30th April 2022)

Apr 30, 2022

Those wishing to be confirmed or received in the Anglican Church on Sunday, July 3rd, when Bishop Sally will be with us, will continue class with the Rev. Susan Dennen-Rodriguez during the 5 remaining Sundays of Easter, from 12:20-1:00 p.m. in the White Room. This class will be bilingual and multi-generational, as needed, and is also open to anyone wishing to learn more about Anglicanism.

Many thanks to Daniel Anaya & Laura Atkinson for including the parish in their beautiful reception in celebration of their daughter Maria’s baptism last Sunday!

Have you taken the Christ Church Worship Service Times survey? See the survey link on the church Facebook pages and in this newsletter, & take the survey today to help us plan well.

Dear Parents– We love having children at Christ Church! We will have Sunday school for children ages 2 (able to walk) – 10 this Sunday.

We’re trying to design 11:00 Sunday school (English language) to meet your children’s needs, and we have some wonderful volunteers in place, but our team isn’t big enough yet to offer class every week.

On the days when we don’t have class, we provide a small table outdoors with some lectionary-based activities for your children. However, we ask you to be responsible for your children on these mornings. Marisela may be available to sit outside with you and your children and help you care for them, but she is not the teacher on those mornings. At least one parent needs to accompany their child(ren). You know your children’s needs and learning styles better than anyone else, so we count on your expertise to help us serve your children well.

Out of respect for other church members enjoying coffee hour and/or the 1 p.m. worship service, please keep your children in your sight once the 11 a.m. service has concluded.

**If you have worshiped consistently with Christ Church for at least 6 months, and you enjoy children, would you consider joining our Children’s Ministry team and serving one Sunday/month? Some children’s protection training is required, but the church will provide it to you. Contact Rev. Elisabeth ASAP.**
Thank you!
