Dear Christ Church, this Sunday, September 25th, we have the opportunity to engage more fully with the Anglican Communion‘s Five Marks of Mission. These missional priorities derive from Jesus’ own words and example during his life on earth. They offer us direction and stability, as well as anticipation and joy. They help us recognize and explore meaningful possibilities as a faith community.
I hope you will join the Vestry between the 11:00 and 1:00 services in the Parish Hall for a Festival of the Five Marks of Mission, where you can visit informational tables, learn about current initiatives, join a work team, and offer your unique perspectives and skills to our collective future.
I imagine each of us wants to share in a vibrant and relevant faith community that not only worships God on Sundays and nurtures her own but also leaves a beautiful imprint of love on Lomas de Chapultepec and Mexico City. Let’s join our hands, hearts, and minds to seek God’s best for Christ Church now and in the years straight ahead.
